more bad jokes
My first job was working in an orange juice factory, but I got canned, I couldn't concentrate. Then I worked in the woods as a lumberjack, but I just couldn't hack it, so they gave me the axe. After that I tried to be a tailor, but I just wasn't suited for it. Mainly because it was a so-so job. Next I tried working in a muffler factory but that was exhausting. I wanted to be a barber, but I just couldn't cut it. | |
Then I tried to be a chef--figured it would add a little spice to my life but I just didn't have the thyme. Finally, I attempted to be a deli worker, but any way I sliced it, I couldn't cut the mustard. My best job was being a musician, but eventually I found I wasn't noteworthy. I studied a long time to become a doctor, but I didn't have any patients. Next was a job in a shoe factory; I tried but I just didn't fit in. I became a professional fisherman, but discovered that I couldn't live on my net income. Thought about becoming a witch, so I tried that for a spell. I managed to get a good job working for a pool maintenance company, but the work was just too draining. I got a job at a zoo feeding giraffes but I was fired because I wasn't up to it. So then I got a job in a gymnasium (work-out-center), but they said I wasn't fit for the job. Next, I found being an electrician interesting, but the work was shocking. After many years of trying to find steady work I finally got a job as a historian until I realized there was no future in it. My last job was working at Starbucks, but I had to quit because it was always the same old grind. hmm where do i get this nonsense from? -hui min | |

hello everyone... DK is busy playing cards in the room.. so the welfare rep shall post alone. wonderful day today.. we walked for half an hour from New Hall college to Girton college for lessons.. the bus ride takes 10 min but since we always reach there early, we decided to walk there today. 
had lessons on special relativity in the morning before heading off to the Dept of Applied Math and Theoretical Physics for programming.. i'm sure zhe wei, wei zhong, joel would enjoy all these.. so more pics of us there... trying to hone my zi4 pai1 skills...
shall talk abt lunch now.. usually the lunch at the diining hall costs abt 4 pounds.. didnt wanna go to the convenience store cos the weather's really cold today.. in the end we decided to eat at the college :(
the fish and chips was so gigantic that we called it WHALE AND CHIPS... anyway, we had a hearty breakfast in the morning so we ended up sharing lunch... 5 girls to 2 plates of fish and chips.. one person one pound ++. DK and howard had one plate to themselves.. and u can see them trying really hard to finish the entire plate... some funny ppl turned up for lunch as well:
it aint halloween.. but there's still all these strange ppl.. and we started cubiong during lunch.. DK says it aids in digestion and howard started cubing as well... cute photo...

ok.. so while we were at the comp lab programming. DK and i went online and started mass convo #1 with zhe wei and joel on the class blog.. (appendix: c-box) then a few hours later, we had mass convo #2 with joel, zhe wei, jian hua, sean, jiajun, yongquan on msn. wei zhong was there as well but he left the convo right after we added him in.. hee really fun.. esp when jiajun used this very FUNNY BUNNY emoticon.. haha.

"sad case" stepped on the flag too.. it must have been fun during the singalong session.. really wished i could join in the fun... and not staying here trying hard not to fall asleep during the phy course... trying hard not to catch a cold as well.. strong winds, heavy rains.. and they call this SUMMER.
had a 2hr phy lesson by mr samuel tan in the night.. (early morning sg time).. only those who took math course went for phy.. the rest went for math lesson with mrs chua. he wanted us to do tutorial... but i finished it already and left it at home ... was expecting him to explain in details abt the P-V graph cos i aint really sure abt it.. apparently Xinyi wanted him to explain it as well.. but he spent a super long time revising sections 1-3.. and went through section 4 very briefly.. aiyoh... we didnt attend section 4 lecture in sch and yet he didnt go through it in detail.. will prob have to ask fellow 6k-ers for help when i return.. i ended up reading waves during the lesson.. and some ppl were laughing at least 50% of the time.. and the lesson was progressing very slowly... wanted to fall asleep.. oh well at least i manged to do the waves egs...
guess that's abt it. gonna have bbq dinner tmr UK time.. our turn to celebrate national day :)dont think we'll be able to meet u all online :( anyway have a great weekend and study hard for chem o.. and econs timed assignment!!

btw, finish the old crapbook.. heard that there's still one more pg.. and i am curious abt the bunny story in the new crapbook.. really miss 6K.. haha.. continue to be crappier.. after all like what zhe wei said, by LCP, u guys should be crappier now that DK and i are not in class :)

UK Day 3, mugging Day 2
Hello :)
More updates from us here in UK.. DK is in UK!!! haha so after the last post, DK came over to our room to eat.. they were playing bridge earlier on.. so we took photos and gossip... we ate strawberries and raspberries as well.... 2 punnets of strawberries for 2 pounds.
Why am I always the one whoz dragged over to finish food? SIGH... never mind... it's 7B and 6K bonding session... Mr Lee, no need to organize SMTP outing liao la... GIANT COVALENT BOND! HAHA=P

we were in the math course but somehow we had physics prac today... kinda funny... back in singapore, u ppl have phy prac on thursday and we have it here in UK on thursday as well. did some stuff on reflection, diffraction. had to draw a straight line graph and calculate uncertainties, find diameter of hair.. thankfully eqn is already linearised.
Tsk tsk do your prac la, still want to take photos... the cameraman also... slacker... eh i think it's me, haha...

pls lah... last time when i was in NYAV, we do lots of photo duties and learn lots of photo techniques.. plus we even take part in photo competition... photography is a nice hobby :)
there're lots of bugs in cambridge (yea absolutely disgusting)... :( and we are studying QM tmr... *faints* dont understand why QM must be included in math course..
btw we saw a guy FAIRER than zhe wei.. haha the person is 22 yrs old.... and he's very white... NDP celebration on saturday.. gonna have a bbq with the other JCs... gg to london this sunday... gonna check out the megaminx and cubes :)
If you care to google, there's something called a gigaminx which is like the 5*5*5 version of the megaminx...

combined post by C-REP & WELFARE REP
welfare rep will post in red while c-rep will post in blue. FROM 2 VOICES IN A LAND FAR FAR FAR AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!all right so the welfare rep shall start first... suddenly feel like talking abt CJ7 which we watched on the plane.. something lame: CJK watched CJ7!!! ok not very funny.. that's why howard wanted to buy me a joke book. we went to town today... only 1 decent shop that sells puzzles and lotsa other crap... found 3x3 and 5x5.. will probably go london to check out megaminx and 6x6,7x7.
it's really fun doing math everyday.. the stuff we do were rather similar to MOP.. chinese remainder theorem, euclid algorithm etc... the pace was a lot slower than prof wang's (and this means i could follow better)
DK taking photo now... btw, acc to DK, the SI unit for money here is not £ but rather kg.. the coins are super heavy.. and there're so many kinds that i'm utterly confused... and i cant find all the food that JL recommended.. ate lots of chips though :)
My turn, hehheh... stupid RJC, suck like shit, play soccer all duno how to defend 1, end up my pants kena coloured by chlorophyll, thigh kena abrasion, cos i slide across the whole goal to block, then the stupid striker scam me and pass the ball... They play like cock man, only want to attack... now got icebreakers, we all "go toilet" before it, hehheh, so now RJC freaking noisy downstairs, bueh tahan sia, must close window, sigh... actually come to think of it, all RJC and HCI, dun have that much ice to break... fyi, DK was the only person from math to play soccer...O ya, 6H all squeeze into Mrs Chua's room to learn mathematical induction now (hehheh no kick sia, I close 2 eyes can do liao), so Mui Suan... *ahem* trespassed my privacy and came into my room... Guo kai went into the girls' room.. so no diff lah... O ya, heard that someone from 6K full marks for chem test, must tell me k? Cos I'm the Chem rep MUHAHAHAHAHA=)
i am very interested to find out more abt the most interesting GP lesson of the year... our GP table has less occupants now.. GP can still be interesting meh?? i wonder if anyone joined lang, zhe wei and JL... someone should post abt sch life and keep us updated.. ok actually zhe wei is updating DK via email... trying to make this the longest post ever :)

not having jet lag now... :) still rmb that when we were travelling from london to cambridge(almost) everyone slept on the coach... someone *ahem* said it'll take around 1.5 hrs.. it turned out to be ard 2.5 hrs.. bad jam plus the rain... some very crappy stuff: UK is so COOL that most of the roads are WINDing... lots of turns here and there.. must fasten seatbelt all the time...
Wa lao raining now, sian... o ya, sun rises at 4am and sets at 9pm... fun sia... And if you did read 6H blog, we didn't really own today la, we just sort of answered a few more questions... well, basically almost everything that is, hehheh... (Until the teacher tell me that he dowan to hear my answer liao, oopsie)

Tuesday's dinner was 70% veg for me, holy shit... Cos i ordered vegetarian lasagna by accident... disgusting...
